A Semi-AU 'THE 100' Roleplay
Open Threads ►

Welcome to It's Not Rocket Science!

Both canon and original characters are welcomed unless Murphy does not like you! We are a no word count just try to spell better than Murphy, freestyle shipper, application, semi-au roleplay set in the fictional universe of The 100 were the awesomeness of murphamy totally exists. Inspired by the CW television series and Kass Morgan books. Our site has been around since June 2015!We have yet to get floated!

The site is a liquid timeline, meaning you can do threads wherever you want within the sites timeline Especially Murphamy ones. Only thing we ask is that you try not to go ahead of the latest events in the site plot, which is to the end of Season 3 currently. You can play out scenes from the show, or you can go off and do your own thing. You have the freedom to do as you please. As Bellamy Blake puts it: "Whatever the hell we want!"

The question is...
How far will you go to survive or protect the ones you care about?

- Site Plot -

Our plot is mostly based on the TV series The 100's plot, with a few of our own changes here and there. To see the overall show plot, you can read it in full HERE.

Any major plot changes that we've done are noted below. While we do try to follow along with the show and have a similar "endgame" as they do, we have added some of our own changes to either give members more options or get original characters more involved.

Some things to know:

• Our site is Liquid Timeline, meaning a character can play out a plot at any point of the available timeline. They're not restricted to playing a specific point in time and will give them a wider options of who to play with and what scenarios they'll get themselves into.

• The only thing that we do ask is any major changes to the show's plot (through canons or original characters actions) are run by the admins first.

• There are no canon deaths on our site (Minor character deaths will still take place until that character is claimed). Any deaths that happen in the show can either be replaced by an NPC or slightly changed to bring a different outcome. For example, instead of Lincoln being shot in Season 3, he just won't give himself up to Pike and will leave with the group instead. It is up to the member playing that character to explain how they survive or provide a different outcome.

• Main points in the storyline cannot be changed, but everything else can be interpreted differently. So for example, during Season 1 the Unity Day explosions do happen and the first exodus ship does get destroyed. However, something like Murphy being hanged could be someone else if Murphy didn't want to do that.

• Original characters cannot claim show plots for themselves, but they can do something similar after it's happened in the timeline. So for example, delinquents can attempt to break out of Mount Weather after Clarke has done so.

• Season 4 plot is playable via the Show Roleplay subforums. It won't be available on our site as a plot until the season has finished. Members can only play up to the Season 3 finale outside of the Show Roleplay.

- S1 Synopsis -

Set in the distant future, 97 years after a nuclear apocalypse has devastated the surface of the Earth, the only survivors are the approximately 2,400 inhabitants of 12 national space stations that were in orbit at the time of the apocalypse, which have come together in a massive station known as the Ark.

Three generations have survived in space. The Ark has strict measures, including population control and capital punishment for citizens over 18 years of age. Eventually, life support on the Ark begins to fail. For the first time in nearly a century, there is talk of returning to Earth.

100 juveniles convicted of various crimes are sent to Earth to see if it is survivable. Among them is 17-year-old Clarke Griffin, the daughter of the Ark's chief medical officer and chief engineer, Wells Jaha, son of the Chancellor Thelonious Jaha, "spacewalker" Finn Collins, Jasper Jordan, Monty Green, Octavia Blake and her stowaway brother Bellamy Blake.

Technologically blind to what is happening to the 100 on Earth, the Ark’s leaders, Chancellor Jaha, second in command Marcus Kane, Councilwoman Abigail Griffin, and the rest of the Council are faced with difficult decisions about life, death, and the continued existence of the human race.

For the 100, Earth is an alien planet. The 100 quickly discover Earth can be magical one moment and lethal the next.

With the survival of the human race entirely in their hands, the 100 must find a way to transcend their differences, unite, and forge a new path on a radically changed Earth that is primitive, intense and teeming with the unknown.

- S2 Synopsis -

The epic second season picks up with the group still scattered and desperate to be reunited. As members of The 100 and new arrivals from the Ark stake out their place in a dangerous and beautiful new world, they are confronted with the physical peril and moral dilemmas that come with reforging society.

What kind of life will they build? And what will it cost them? This season’s quest will challenge them more than anything that’s come before. Hearts will be broken. Lives will be lost. Heroes will be born.

- S3 Synopsis -

For two seasons, the refugees of The 100 sent to Earth have been at war. First with themselves, then with the Grounders, and finally with Mount Weather. Many have lost their lives along the way. All have lost their innocence. They have learned the hard way that in the fight for survival, there are no heroes and no villains.

There is only the living and the dead. But now the war is over. The battle against Mount Weather has been won.

The prisoners have returned home to a world seemingly at peace, but can they find peace within themselves after what they had to do to escape? And is there more to life than just surviving? Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race.

- S4 Synopsis -

In the beginning, there was no hope. We were just another generation born to die in space.

Then, they sent us to the ground, and we found a strength we never knew we had. Strength in ourselves. Strength in each other. Suddenly, we had hope. And we discovered hope was something worth fighting for. Against all odds, against all enemies. And so we fought.

We bled, and sacrificed.
We killed, and were killed.

All for the hope that our future will be better than our past. For the hope that someday, the violence will end and we can be free. But now, our enemy isn't something that can be fought.

It can't be reasoned with. It can't be killed. It can't be stopped.

And so we ask ourselves, when all is lost, can hope survive? Can we survive? And after everything we've done.

Do we deserve to?

*Season 4 will not be available as a site plot until all episodes are available. We may make some changes to then plot. In the meantime, you are completely free to roleplay Season 4 in the Show Roleplay forums (Just please avoid any spoiler titles).

- Major AU Changes -

While the site does follow the show's plot, we have made some changes which might change your characters outcome or perspective on things. Seasons One and Two mostly remain the same with a few tweaks mentioned. Season 3 undergoes a more drastic change since we plan to keep the member group Mountain Men available. The finale outcome is still the same. Contact the admins if you need something clarified.

- Season 1 -

• Mountain men don't take all of the delinquents from the dropship. Instead they take as many as they possibly can carry and leave the rest with intentions to take them at a later date (which never comes). This way a member with a delinquent can choose whether to be inside the mountain or not.

- Season 2 -

• Clarke breaks out alone with Anya's help and Mountain security is doubled. Delinquents are unaware of the impending danger they are in apart from a small few. Those few plan a breakout by causing the radiation warning alarm to go off in Medical (results in all residents needing to evacuate). Those who don't make it there in time before the level is sealed off don't make the escape. Some members do get out the same way Clarke did though.

• Bellamy doesn't infiltrate the mountain alone. A small team went in with him to help.

• Mount Weather isn't completely killed off in Season 2. Instead of only being 1 level which had been radiated, we're having 2 levels which were radiation-free. Bellamy and Clarke took down one of the levels as a threat, killing the majority of residents. Cage surrendered before the second level was taken down.

• Once Cage surrenders, Clarke and Bellamy go and get their people out and they leave without anymore deaths.

- Season 3 -

• During the 3 month timeskip before Season 3 starts, Mount Weather spend most of it working on bringing power back. Since all but one of the generators were destroyed. Over 400 bodies of their lost loved ones which were killed by the Sky People and need to be moved out of the base. Survivors using hazmat suites got rid of the bulk of them. With the power being out for so long it has done major damages to their food resources and other areas. Scientists have been working day and night to synthesise the bone marrow they did manage to extract from the sky people to make enough for everyone who survived. They have their breakthrough towards the end of those 3 months and all mountain men can walk outside freely by the time Season 3 begins.

• The mountain doesn't get destroyed until later on in our plot (basically at the end of S3). So the Sky People will attempt to go on a supply runs back to Farm station (Rather than inside the mountain), but never make it there. Azgeda tricked them into thinking there was an attack on polis and the group which stayed were attacke. Survivors made it back to Arkadia, but barely. Over 40 of their people were killed.

• Lexa does lose her rank as Heda to Ontari, but not as the show portrays (Members can plan out how they want to do this themselves like the one above, and we'll add it in here).

• Inside the City of Light, characters have their own minds and aren't controlled by A.L.I.E. It's a virtual reality, the perfect world. A dream for most people, the majority of NPC's that are there went to A.L.I.E willingly and are happy.

• Only thing is, inside COL characters cannot do anything which would threaten the City of Light's livelihood... but they can sure as hell try. More information about A.L.I.E and her capabilities with how she affects chipped people is [HERE] (LINK TO BE ADDED).

• Mountain men are venturing out by now and enjoying their newfound freedom. Grounders have caught wind and since there is no more acid fog, they are told to kill on sight. A lot of grounders still fear the mountain and actively avoid it's territory.

• As Arkadia is going down many will flee with Jasper, Clarke and Raven to the cave. Too many in such a large group will catch unwanted attention. So a small group leaves with Raven to attempt to remove her chip, while the rest make their way to Mount Weather to seek refuge there. Some might have their reservations about going, but overall the group agree its really their only option where A.L.I.E. can't get to them.

• Mountain Men do allow the Sky People in but there is a ton of tension. They aren't sure they believe the story the Sky People are telling them about A.L.I.E.. However, they've tried fighting and they know how that ended last time. Maybe it is time for peace between the groups. With the death of so many Mountain Men it means there's plenty of space for sky people to live comfortably alongside them.

• A.L.I.E. and her army leave for Polis immediately after taking over Arkadia. She leaves a trusted group of volunteers* to go to the Mountain and recruit more for the City of Light. Many of them had loved ones who sought out refuge inside the mountain.
*Volunteers are chipped characters who have stepped forward to aid her cause.

• Unaware of the moral danger they're now facing, one small mistake meant the Chipped Sky People were able to infiltrate the Mountain. They tried taking less invasive measures where they could to recruit, but overall they're taking the Mountain by force.

• By the time the other group had unchipped Raven and set up camp at the now abandoned Arkadia, they hear distress signals coming from Mount Weather. The flame is the most important weapon they have now and they need to find Luna. They split up, one group following the map to find Luna while the other go to the Mountain.

• The small group arrive and it's chaos. Mountain Men have been killing those that were chipped in order to save the others. Sky People are frantically trying to prevent more deaths of their loved ones while simultaneously trying to hide from the growing number of chipped people looking for them. It all comes to a breaking point when a mount weather resident triggers the self-destruct protocol. A building-wide alert goes out and everyone tries to flee. They have merely minutes to make it out. Mountain goes boom. Everyone are scattered right across the forests. Chipped people also make it out and continue on with their mission, getting as many people as they possibly can. It's not long before ALIE is shut down though. Those who survive go on the run. Those that know of Arkadia being abandoned go back there.

- Season 4 -

Information will be added once Season 4 has ended and we understand what the season's 'endgame' is.

For now, site plots will only go to the end of Season 3. In the meantime, there's always the S4 show roleplay subforum along with timewarps to play out season 4 plots!
